As part of Colin Buchanan’s progressive approach to its responsibilities as a service provider, as a limited company and as an employer, it has striven to identify and improve its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) profile. This CSR is based on the guidelines issued by the Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform framework.

Considering the whole of the community and the effect that the company has upon all that it comes into contact with is of great importance to Colin Buchanan (CB). As the nature of our work has a very real and direct impact on our employees, our clients and our suppliers, this is a consideration and a responsibility that we take extremely seriously.
The wider world
Colin Buchanan has achieved certification under the ISO14001:2004 Environmental Management System (EMS) standard. In a world increasingly concerned with the impact its actions have on the surrounding environment, we feel that is it vital that business address its impact in terms of waste, recycling and equipment disposal.
Our London office has been awarded a rating of Excellent under its BREEAM Offices 2006 Environmental Assessment Award. Additionally, we have a Green Travel Plan for all our employees and we provide various incentives under this for the use of sustainable modes for travel to and from work and during the working day.

Our HR Manager's cycling progress
As part of Bike week, Colin Buchanan’s HR manager, Helen Jones, was asked to cycle into work for the first time to see if she could be convinced to cycle to work. We follow Helen's progress here!
