Our team of specialists has an excellent track record in the development of transport models at all levels (i.e. strategic, local and micro-simulation models) and are fully familiar with the technical specifications required for each type of model in accordance with the guidance specified in WebTAG.

We have dedicated transport modelling teams located around the country who are able to enhance our valued work by providing local knowledge of the transport systems.

Our services

Our wide range of modelling capabilities and our in-house modelling expertise ensure that appropriate tools are always available to meet the specific requirements of each project.

Key modelling software used by our transport planners includes:

• SATURN, VISUM, EMME2, CUBE VOYAGER & TRIPS – for strategic modelling
• VISSIM and PARAMICS – for micro-simulation models
• LEGION – for pedestrian models

We have developed and delivered a wide range of transport models for different private and public sector clients combining robust independent advice with an understanding of the needs and aspirations of local communities.

In addition, Colin Buchanan has developed a 3D simulation modelling capability to act as a presentational tool to compliment VISSIM models.  This uses 3DS software and has been used for a number of projects.  Click on the movie below to see a typical example.
