Colin Buchanan bids farewell to Malcolm Buchanan
Malcolm Buchanan announces his retirement from Colin Buchanan after 35 years with the company
Malcolm has been responsible for a staggering range of UK and overseas transportation projects and has seen the evolution of transport planning from Traffic in Towns to Personal Rapid Transit (PRT). He will continue to support the company on a consultancy basis.
Taking over his role as Chairman will be Andreas Markides who joined the company almost twenty years ago as a traffic engineer. Andreas commented that he is "delighted with the decision and excited by the challenge.” Despite the present difficulties he is confident that “through the company's commitment to delivering complex solutions to its clients, both public and private sector, it can add real value to the industry."
Additionally, Chris Pyatt will become the company's Managing Director. Chris' technical background gives him a thorough understanding of the industry and will be instrumental in the strategic direction of the company.
