Our surveys team have been commissioned by Wiltshire County Council recently to undertake a large programme of surveys collecting the base data for the development of a new traffic model for Trowbridge. 

This follows on from a successful survey completed during 2008 in the Wiltshire town of Chippenham (on behalf of Peter Finlayson Associates), the data from which was also supporting traffic model development.  The Chippenham survey involved us providing vehicle trip origin/destination information through analysis of number plates recorded using our Automatic Number Plate Survey system (ANPR).   

The surveys in Trowbridge also involved ANPR surveys to gain O/D vehicle trip information for this town, (we have 46 separate cameras to meet any scale of requirement), and also a large volume of manual traffic and car park counts (by video survey), Automatic Traffic Counts (ATC) and vehicle journey times using our Global Positioning Survey System (GPS).
