John was recently quoted in the BBC news magazine article 'How much would you pay to park here?'

John is an economist specialising in the wider economic and social impacts of transport policies and investment, as well as advising on economic development and regeneration issues generally. These have ranged from the regeneration impacts of Crossrail, researching travel horizons of socially excluded groups, making the case for reducing or abolishing tolls on the Humber Bridge, and reviewing the impact of parking controls on retail turnover, to assessing the regeneration impacts of street markets. Author of over 50 published articles, spoken at conferences in the UK and overseas and been interviewed for a wide range of TV and Radio programmes.
