Faith Groups in Thurrock
Colin Buchanan has built on its strong track record in infrastructure planning in Thurrock with a new study of faith groups’ needs in the borough.
The study, for Thurrock Borough Council, will further develop the Local Development Framework (LDF) evidence base by investigating the distribution and condition of premises used by faith groups, their future premises and support needs in response to growth pressures in the Borough, and mechanisms to fund and deliver new facilities.
Sorwar Ahmed, Head of Community Regeneration at Colin Buchanan, comments ‘Faith groups play an important role in developing strong and confident communities. The LDF process provides a key opportunity to assess their needs and support them in their role in the community’. The study will also inform the Council’s Single Equalities Scheme.
