NUIM Mobility Study

The National University of Maynooth has commissioned Colin Buchanan to undertake a study of the mobility needs of the university.

This is to complement their new masterplan and to help make NUIM a leading example of sustainability in third level education in Ireland. The study aims to deliver a range of measures that will significantly enhance the quality of life for the entire NUIM community. A key objective is to better integrate the north and south campuses and create an environment which is inviting and attractive for pedestrians and cyclists. In addition, the study will aim to address, where possible, gaps in the current provision of public transport services. A review of international best practice among universities will be carried out to ensure that the study delivers the most innovative measures to improve the access and mobility needs of the community.
