RAC Foundation Elects David Quarmby
David Quarmby CBE has been elected Chairman of the RAC Foundation, in succession to David Holmes.
The RAC Foundation is an authoritative transport and road user think tank, where advocacy and policy is heavily evidence-based. The RACF has a substantial endowment-funded budget, which allows it to run an amibitious research programme, and to follow through with events, seminars, briefings and so on a wide range of road and transport topics.
Apart from leading the overall strategy and programme of research and investigations (and some new directions), David intends to focus on the behind the scenes policy with government and opinion formers.
