SWestrans and Dumfries and Galloway Council are aiming to promote bus season ticket and cycle to work salary sacrifice schemes to employers in Dumfries over a three year period

This project is one element of the GoSMART Dumfries programme which is part of the Scottish Government's Smarter Choices, Smarter Places initiative.
 
SWestrans has commissioned Colin Buchanan to help achieve the key aims of the project, which are to increase the number of employers taking advantage of the schemes and to reduce car trips for workplace travel, in particular single-occupancy car trips.
 
CB will be contacting employers in Dumfries to explain the benefits of salary sacrifice schemes for both employers and employees, to provide employers with the information required to enable them to set up schemes and to assist with the ongoing promotion of the schemes.
