Colin buchanan

Colin Buchanan worked with the Lower Shankill Community Association to prepare a renewal plan that reflects the hopes, aspirations and needs of this particular part of Belfast.

The aim of the plan was to develop a shared sense of place and encourage the development of a healthy and sustainable community neighbourhood. The study involved extensive stakeholder and community consultation and multi-disciplinary design skills.

In February 2009, this project was short-listed for the RTPI/RSPB Northern Ireland Sustainable Planning Award.
