VISSIM model of proposed Nanning East Station, a new high speed rail station serving the capital city of Guangxi Province, located in south west China, close to the border with Vietnam.

The design concept was a one way road network which does not require traffic signals. Colin Buchanan worked in partnership with the 2nd Railway Design Institute to develop this scheme. CB also led on the development of the demand forecast for the new station.
