Colin Buchanan is currently acting as planning agents for a proposed commercial development at an unallocated site in Ellistown, South Leicestershire.

The work has involved co-ordinating the preparation of an Environmental Statement and planning application. In addition to managing the preparation of the proposals, supporting planning documentation and required technical studies for the Environmental Statement, we have also prepared the alternative sites assessment and socio-economic impact assessment.

The proposals are for the development of up to 45,000 sqm of B2 and B8 employment uses which have been carefully considered and planned to form a natural extension to the existing neighbouring industrial estate. Discussions with the local planning authority have been crucial in preparing the application. The project will deliver a range of local economic and employment benefits whilst respecting the natural environment by providing appropriate landscaping.

We have been successful in leading the post-application and s106 negotiations with the council, and have recently secured planning permission from the local authority.
