The Edinburgh Tram project
We continue to provide a variety of transport modelling services to TIE Ltd, the arms-length company set up by the City of Edinburgh Council to deliver the tram.
In addition to modelling the tram and producing a successful business case, we have also undertaken extensive micro-simulation modelling to test the localised impact of the tram on the existing network. We have also used the modelling suite (a VISUM model and a series of VISSIM models) to examine the impact of temporary traffic works and to design the traffic management measures necessary to mitigate these impacts.
